  7. Thank you for your interest in XTree. This diskette contains all the files
  8. relating to this version. Instructions for printing the on-line documentation
  9. are outlined below. 
  10.  
  11. XTree 2.00E is an evaluation version - try it for 30 days at no cost.  If 
  12. you decide to use the program on a continuing basis, we ask that you register 
  13. it with us in order that we may continue to provide upgrades, improvements 
  14. and technical support.

  16. Registered users benefit from unlimited free telephone technical support, 
  17. professionally bound and printed documentation, and notice of upgrades.  
  18. The registered version of XTree also includes a configuration program that 
  19. will let you modify XTree's screen colors.

  36. COPYING XTREE TO YOUR FIXED DISK
  37.  
  38. To Copy XTREE 2.00E to your fixed disk, follow these quick steps.  Characters
  39. inside the [ ] brackets are the characters you should type.
  40.  
  41.     1) Make your fixed disk (C:) the default drive by typing 
  42.        [C:] at the DOS prompt.  Press ENTER.
  43.  
  44.     2) Type [CD\] (change directory) at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
  45.  
  46.     3) Type [MD\XTREE] (make a new directory called XTree) at the DOS 
  47.        prompt and press ENTER.
  48.  
  49.     4) Type [CD\XTREE] at the DOS prompt and press ENTER.
  50.  
  51.     5) Place the distribution diskette containing the XTree program
  52.        file XTREE.EXE in Drive A:
  53.  
  54.     6) Type [COPY XTREE.EXE] and press ENTER.
  55.  
  56. That's it!  Now type [XTREE] at the DOS prompt to start the program.  To save
  57. having to change directory (CD command) to the \XTREE directory every time you
  58. want to run XTree, add C:\XTREE to your path command in your AUTOEXEC.BAT file.
  59. You can do that with any ascii text editor, including EDLIN which comes with 
  60. DOS, or you can rewrite your AUTOEXEC.BAT file using the COPY CON command in
  61. DOS.  Refer to your DOS manuals for help with this.

  63. To print the XTree 2.00E documentation file to printer, first align the printer
  64. to top of form. To use the distribution disk to do this, log to the A: Drive 
  65. by typing [A:] and ENTER. Then type the DOS command:

  67.                 [PRINTDOC] and press ENTER
  68.  
  69. The documentation is about 30 pages long, so have enough paper and time 
  70. available!  And thank you for using the XTREE Evaluation Version!
